Steve Leeves - By Jon Sowell
After over 30 years spent in the business finance industry I recently took the decision to jump off the gravy train and try and do something with a little more "soul" attached to it. With a lifelong love of writing, a varied list of interests and hobbies and an opinion on most things, journalism seemed the natural place to land.
Although historically my writing has been on the creative side (poetry, personal family stories and satire) I have recently completed a diploma course in Freelance Journalism. The course has been invaluable in opening my eyes to the other side where less is best and where the flowery sentence will wither and die!
Of course there is room for both and I fully intend to spread myself across them.
